Geocache Description:

A celebration of Scout huts in Chichester

This Cache has been replaced with a sneakier hide as it seems to get muggled a bit.
The location remains the same.

Please take care when retrieving and replaceing the cache!

This is the start of a small series that i hope to add to over the coming months.
There are several Scout huts in and around Chichester.

Scouting still plays a big part in the development of the young people who attend these groups.

Scouting is the Biggest Youth movement in the World with over 28 Million members.
It is truly a remarkable movement, there are only 6 countries in the world that do not have scout groups!

2007 saw Scouting celebrate its Centenary year and to celebrate this the UK hosted the World Scout Jamboree.
This camp was attended by over 50,000 Scouts and Guides and was the biggest camp ever held!!

To get these caches of to a start they have been loaded with a few Scouting type goodies.
Compass, Hand made Woggle, Torch, Scout Badge and a Scout centenary 50p Coin.

Did You Know!!
Every second of every day there is a Scout Meeting going on!!
somewhere in the world

This Scout Hut is in the grounds of Chichester High School so i have placed it in the closest public space.
From the cache site look across the water and to the left of the ramp, the roof at the back is the scout hut.

It is a movement, because it moves forward. As soon as it stops moving, it becomes an Organisation, and is no longer Scouting. -- B-P.
