Geocache Description:

Located near west end of Quanah Parker Park. Walking/biking trail accessible up to last 120 feet. The good news is there are no poison ivy plants or greenbriar. The not so good is there is not an established trail through the various small trees and shrubs for the last part of the walk. The difficulty rating is for the last 100 ft or so depending on your approach.

This is the first in a planned series about the local flora, particularly trees. Genus and species names may be used as hints, however common names may also be included as landmarks.

Parking is one half mile from the Quanah Parker lot or .48 miles from the soccer field parking lot across Randol Mill at the other end. Plan to park at one end or the other and do all the caches in the park.

When getting close turn east at the live oak and go to the cedar elm and live oak growing near each other. Find your best path from there.
The container is a small camo lock and lock, and has two competing travel bugs from a fifth grade class and an un-activated TB for FTF. Some small kid's trade items are also included.
Congrats to ABrimberry & friends for lunch time FTF.
