Hawksnest Broken Trees

Hawksnest Broken Trees (3rd update 5/8/23) is a five stage multi that meanders along the eastern shore of Hawksnest Pond and is one of a pair of caches that explores the state park. Enter the woods from the trail off of Spruce Road at the listed coordinates and head south finding stages as you go. The gallery and hints may prove not only helpful but necessary. Coordinate repeatability, especially for the first two stages, leaves a lot to be desired. The stages are all on or in broken trees.  The redirect coords have been changed slightly and hopefully will get you close but the tree cover and terrain reduce repeatability and accuracy.  There is a short section of private property along the route: please respect.

     The stages will direct you along the path of least resistance and no real bushwhacking is required. Once you find the small cache and sign the log, retrace your path to return to your car or continue on counter-clockwise around the pond to find the Hawksnest West Point Cache.  The trees have all continued to breakdown so I've added a new set to the gallery which you might want to bring along.
