Geocache Description:

You are seeking a medium sized LockNLock hidden in a typical fashion, however you will need to know how to do a waypoint projection with your GPSr to find the actual cache which is hidden somewhere nearby. (within 200 feet)

The Knights of Pythias is a fraternal organization and secret society founded in Washington, DC in the mid-nineteenth century. The Knights of Pythias was the first fraternal organization to receive a charter under an act of the United States Congress. It was founded by Justus H. Rathbone, who had been inspired by a play by the Irish poet John Banim about the legend of Damon and Pythias. This legend illustrates the ideals of loyalty, honor and friendship that are central to the order.

The posted coordinates will bring you to a physical object embedded in the ground. On this object will be a few bits of information that you will need to take note of to determine the location of the final cache.

Take the 4-digit number on the 3rd line of the object and perform the following calculations:

1. Subtract 7 from the last 2 digits of the number to find the direction in degrees of the final cache location (AZIMUTH)

2. Add 6 to the first 3 numbers to find the number of feet needed to travel to find the final cache location. (FEET)

Now you have the direction and the distance that you need to travel to find the final cache. Plug that information into the Waypoint Projection feature of your GPSr and go find that cache!
