The Island Shops in Pawleys Island are a group of shops built
over a natural cypress swamp. When visiting here you will be
greeted by many varieties of waterfowl. When I last visited I saw
ducks, geese, and swans.
The shops are open 7 days a week. Typical hours are M - F 10
A.M. to 5 P.M. with variable hours on the weekend. The hours will
be longer during the summer. Please don't search for the cache when
the shops are closed because there is very little lighting and a
flashlight may draw the attention of the local police who may not
be sympathetic to your endeavors.
When accessing the cache, you will be required to walk into the
cypress swamp. Well, not literally in the swamp, but above the
swamp via the network of boardwalks. Have fun and don't forget to
photograph and feed the wildlife.
