Geocache Description:

It's either a warm-up for a big hike or the top of a long sledding hill!

Sasha and me playing in the snow!

About the Hike:
We went for a nice hike with DJ, Mom and Dad up to the Fire Tower on top of the mountain. This cache is kinda the junction where the Red Trail turns off the snowmobile trail and starts heading up the mountain.
If you are going for the other caches too, this is a nice place to stop and find the first one on your journey. If you aren’t headed all the way up, this is a very nice hike about 1000meters from the parking. If you come while there is snow, don’t forget your sled for a much quicker way down! (It really helps if you have a Husky that just loves to pull!)
You start your journey from the Base Lodge parking lot for Burke Mountain Ski area at N: 44 deg 35.275 W: 71 deg 55.070. At the far end of the parking lot you will see the start of the “Red Trail”.

About the Cache:
You are looking for a 1 cup square lock-n-lock. It has a nice winter friendly spot to hide. Should be good for 4’ or so, after that you’ll have to dig. But it is a large fallen 2 trunked tree so you’ll know what you have to dig for.

Have a great time! Woof!
