Geocache Description:

This cache will take you to two places within SeaCliff State Beach. It is a memorial cache for my brother Jim. You will need the year of Jim's birth and the year of his death to determine the coordinates of the cache.

The site of this memorial, and final cache site was Jim's favorite place to go camping, fishing and hiking with his family. We spent many happy summer days around the campfire very close to where you will find this cache! The cache is located on what we call "The Secret Path"!

The final cache is located at:
N 36 58.Year of Jim's birth - 1553
W 121 54.Year of Jim's death - 1045

7/29/2016 update - Access to the original location is not possible as the end of the pier has been closed off due to winter storms. Until the access is restored here are the coordinates of the cache location: N 36 58.408 W 121 54.960

9/5/2009 update - The ammo box is gone again and cache version 2 was left in the open. A nice person named Anne that lives nearby, found the cache, version 2, in the open and contacted me to return it. I have placed version 2 within 20 feet of the original location of the cache and have updated the final cache location details to reflect the current location. Added some swag and some tokens from SC Beach Boardwalk. Please place back carefully so it doesn't fall off of the current location.

7/20/2009 update - The original ammo box, muggled in May has magically returned. I left version 2 of the cache in place as well so now there are 2 caches 10 feet apart. Ammo box is cache #1 and tin can is cache #2.

This is version 2 of our Memorial Cache to our brother Jim. The first one was muggled sometime in May 2009. This version is a 3X3X5 metal container. The contents to start are::

The log book and Cache Letter is inside a plastic bag.

Lots of muggles along here at times so please be careful and replace the cache as found so this one won't be so easy to muggle.
