This is one of six caches including a bonus cache placed around Caradon hill based on a mining theme. You will need to visit and collect the part coordinates from the five of the caches to locate the bonus. The caches are labelled 1 to 5 and are on a circular of about 4.1 miles or 6.7km from the suggested parking area. A lot of the tracks and paths you will need to follow are old mine railways, leats and quarry tracks, so sensible footwear is a must.
This area on some maps indicate that it is a leat or leats with a reservoir attached. The use of this area is unsure but it may have been associated with either Gonamena or the South Caradon mine.
If anyone has any more information on this area please let me know and i will include it in the write up.
Please note that on this part of the moor the weather can change very quickly, so always go prepared.
