A Quiet Walk with a View Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Silverwater: This cache is being archived, until further notice. Extensive gardening in the park and forest took place... so I will have to move the geocache to a new, but local location. With 56 finds and only 8 not found (though 8 were listed... only the last four truly didn't find it) I apologize to those who searched for the geocache before I noticed the change. It's a good geocache so I will put it back online probably during the summer months. Thanks

Geocache Description:

This is micro-cache, one of a few others, located at the Sherover Promenade near East Talpiot, Old Talpiot and Baka. It is located in the eastern section of the Promenade, quite close to main parking area. It is such a beautiful view that there is not one tour of Jerusalem where this site is not included in the itinerary!

I located the cache within a five minute walk from the parking area, to allow tourist who want to get away for fifteen minutes for a quick cache.

I recommend to continue walking eastward on the walking paths after you find the cache. It will be a beautiful relaxing walk; it continues for only a few hundred meters. Just turn around whenever. It is shaded in most sections as well. Good for bicycles too.

You will past the fourth shaft of the Aqueduct to Jerusalem, which is the deepest of all six shafts, 43 meters deep. It is amazing that the engineers from thousands of years ago built this 23 kilometer aqueduct, with a gentle slope of only 30 meters for the whole length. Talking about respecting the environment, this aqueduct used “free” gravity.

Cache Hint: Between the ?ree "stump" and ?all. The question mark will be obvious when you get to the cache site. It's 35 mm film container. Just put the small rock back to keep it hidden.
Enjoy.
