Cache was an ammo box but is has apparently been changed to a big plastic tub. It is located on the Knibbs Knobb trail in Uvas County Park. The rangers in this park call this section of the park "Cardiac Hill" and for very good reason, it involves 2,000' of climbing in just two miles. The climb can be a hard one, even if you are in good shape. Bring more water than you think you'll need, especially if it is warm at all.
This cache replaces archived Knob Cache (GC1641) which was originally hid on 8/12/2001. There is a nice big picnic table here at the cache, it's a great spot to take a break.
Uvas is open 8 a.m. to sunset and does allow (leashed)dogs. Please only cache during park hours. At this time there is a $6 fee to enter the park, pay at the self registration kiosk. Park information (including a trail map) can be found at:
