A Celebration of Scout Huts in and around Chichester
There are several Scout huts in and around Chichester.
Scouting still plays a big part in the developement of the young people who attend these groups.
Scouting is the Biggest Youth movement in the World with over 28 Million members.
It is truly a remarkable movement, there are only 6 countries in the world that do not have scout groups!
2007 saw Scouting celebrate its Centenary year and to celebrate this the UK hosted the World Scout Jamboree.
This camp was attended by over 50,000 Scouts and Guides and was the biggest camp ever held!!
To get these caches of to a start they have been loaded with a few Scouting type goodies.
Compass, Hand made Woggle, Torch, Scout Badge and a Scout centenary 50p Coin.
Did You Know!!
Every second of every day there is a Scout Meeting going on!!

This Scout hut is Chichester & Midhurst District Head Quarters and is also the District Scout Shop.
The shop is open Saturdays during term time, 9.00 am to 12.00 noon.
This cache will also hopefully fit into some of the other cache routes in the area.
PS if you look under the usual pile of logs you could be some time!! Ha ha
It is a movement, because it moves forward. As soon as it stops moving, it becomes an Organisation, and is no longer Scouting. -- B-P.
