Fjand Lejrplads
I plantagen er der to lejrpladser – Fjand Lejrplads i nordenden af
plantagen
og Husby Lejrplads, der ligger syd for selve plantagen.
Lejrpladserne kan
kun benyttes efter forudgående aftale med Klosterhedens
Statsskovdistrikt,
dog kan små grupper af cyklister og vandrere benytte Fjand
Lejrplads,
der ligger tæt på Vestkyststien, uden forudgående
tilladelse.
Lejrpladsen er udstyret med både das, bålsted med grillrist, frisk
drikkevand og et lille brændeskur med brændsel.
Husby Klitplantage
Anlægningen af skoven påbegyndtes af staten i 1859. Grunden hertil
var at dæmpe sandflugten.
Der er sket en stor udvidelse af skoven i perioden fra 1889 - 1899.
Ved den første tilplantning brugte man bjergfyr. I dag er især den
østlige del af skoven meget varieret med eg, bøg og store fyrre- og
grantræer, der sår sig selv.
Under sandflugtslagene er der flere steder konstateret kulturlag
fra jernalderen. I foden af klitten ved Græm Strand kommer
morænelag fra den forrige istid nu og da til syne efter
storm.

Fjand campsite
In the plantation there is two Campsites – Fjand
campsite in the northern end of the plantation and Husby campsite,
witch is south of the plantation. The campsites can only be used by
preceding appointment with Klosterhedens Statsskovdistrikt, but if
you are a small group of cyclists or hikers, you are welcome to use
Fjand campsite, witch is placed near the West coast path, without
any appointments.
This campsite is equipped with both toilet,
campfire with grill, drinking water and a little shelter with
firewood.
The plantation put an end to sand
drift.
The plantation was laid out by the Government in 1859 in order to
stop sand drift.
In the years 1889-1899 the plantation was
enlarged. The first time round mountain pines were planted. Today
particularly the eastern part of the plantation has a very varied
flora with many kinds of wood: oak, beech and tall pines and
spruces, which will reproduce by self-sown
seeds.
Deposits from the Iron Age have been detected
several places under the layers of sand. At the foot of the dunes
at the beach Græm Strand glacial deposits from the early Ice Age
now and then reveal themselves after a
storm.
