CycleFest - NCN No 5 Deeside's cycle bridge Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: Hi There

As the owner has not responded to either my log or my colleague's previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it.

Please note that once the cache has been archived, this can not be undone. This is explained in the Help Center - http://support.groundspeak.com//index.php?pg=kb.page&id=70

You will need to create a new listing, put it back in for review and as long as it meets today's guidelines and no other caches have been published in the area causing a proximity problem, then it will be published.

Regards

Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of cycle-themed easy-find caches. Collect and/or swap the number in each cache to find the bonus cache. Don't forget to make a note of the NUMBER in the log book. You can swap numbers with other cachers, and then when you've collected all eleven numbers, see bonus cache (if you want). See bookmark list for this series of cyclefest caches.

Photo of the new Route 5 NCN cycle bridge across the A494 trunk road at RAF Sealand. Thanks for this graceful creation and expression of confidence in the future of cycling. Our thanks must go to the Welsh Assembly Government and Flintshire County Council.

This cache is set near this new Bridge going over the A494, which forms part of the new Chester to Connahs Quay path. It is the 8 mile phase 1 section.
The path runs from Fairfield Road to Hawarden Bridge along the former Mickle Trafford freight line, and forms part of the National Cycle Network route number 5. It links Abbots Mead along the Shropshire union canal Towpath to Brooklease via Northgate Village and Northgate street providing connections to Chester.
The whole of the former railway is being treated as a narrow linear park and woodland.
The Bicycle.
This would be a nice section to ride along on something different (see the gallery )
