It is an excellent area to take a break for a quick leg stretch
and the Geopets to do what nature demands they must. While close to
the highway, it has parking well off the main road and the cache
location is well concealed from passing vehicles.
Special note to all. You can do this cache the hard or easy
way. Feedback has shown that a few have done it the hard way, not a
great experience! I suggest you note the additional waypoints to
make life easier. Repeated here for those who didn't put them in
the GPSr:
Access: S34° 41.498 E 38° 34.099
Parking: S34° 41.506 E138° 34.060
I have borrowed this idea from 'Sturt-Newell TB Transit Lounge'
GC136DA, thanks for the idea 'murf' The aim of the cache is to
transit trackables out of the Adelaide area to caches placed
further North that are specifically placed as exchange points.
Examples of these exchange caches are 'At the Crossroad' GCPY7H and
'Backpacker TB & Coin Stopover' GC14HNK both located in the
Port Augusta area. You can also use it as a staging point to get
trackables coming inbound from North or West into Adelaide.
I am adopting the same rules as for 'Sturt-Newell TB Transit
Lounge' which are, and I quote (once again thanks to 'murf'): "The
only "rule" for this trackable cache is simple; "keep them moving"!
Please, if you can help out any bugs/coins in the cache, take them
with you. If there are any bugs/coins that have just been sitting
in the cache and not moving, grab them and move them along
somewhere! There are no: "only take a bug if you leave one"
restrictions. This does mean that there will most likely not be any
trackbables in this cache at times, but that is fine by me."
Within the cache are a number of bags labelled with the general
destinations Northern Territory, Western Australia, Anywhere North
and Adelaide Inbound. There are also blank cards and rubber bands
for you to attach a brief note on your specific goal for the
trackalbe if it does not have an Info Sheet attached. When taking a
trackable please leave the bag. Thanks to SA ParrotHead for this
idea.
In addition to it possibly containing trackables, it was
originally stocked with a reasonable number of swaps.
Waypoints for the recommended vehicle access point and parking
are included below.
