No Dam Good Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

teamvoyagr: I read reports of no trespassing signs. I checked it out and sure enough there are a bunch of new no trespassing signs. They seem to be surrounding the pond but the path to the cache has been blocked by a fence. I have removed the cache. This was my oldest cache placement so it's sad to see it go. It is a great location.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to visit this cache.

Geocache Description:

Stuck on the 401? Take this diversion route and find a cache along the way. You might not of even known there was once a dam here.

I frequently get off the nearby main East-West highway due to rush-hour traffic in the mornings. As a result I pass this spot often. I always wondered about the pond I drive by so one day I decided to stop and have a look at the area. It turns out there is a dis-used dam here. I've been unable to locate any history of the dam so if you have some feel free to add it to your log. As usual when caching around water please be careful. You do not need to get to the edge of the dam in order to find the cache. You don't even need to view the dam if you don't want to but why waste the opportunity? The container is a small metal first-aid kit. I've stocked it with first-aid supplies. Please trade up or trade even. Congratulations to Bakers Dozen for being first-to-find.
