Located in the abandoned Emmanuel cemetery in Seward County, just off Highway 6 about 150 feet. There is a driveway just at the tree line on the north edge of the cemetery. The gates to the cemetery are set back from the road and parking should be easily available. There is a farm that surrounds this cemetery and the resident horses just may come say hello while you're there!
Sixth in a series of caches in old cemeteries in Seward County.
I just love the serenity and solitude of old cemeteries. Always makes me wonder who these people were and how they ended up in this part of the world. Maybe they were born here, lived here their whole life, or maybe lived somewhere else and were buried here because it was a family cemetery. There are some that their stories are buried with them now.
This cemetery is mowed regularly, but is not active. I believe the county maintains it now. It had just been mowed before I was there to place this cache and really smelled great!
Take care and use caution when spending time in these places. I noticed that one of the stones is already broken and a couple others were unreadable due to age.
You're looking for a film canister with log sheet inside. Bring your own writing utensil please and be careful when replacing container to it's hiding place.
I left 3 quarters for the FTF this time (it's all I had in my pocket!).
Congrats to eduCACHEtion for the FTF. By your log it seems I need to pay more attention to the coins I pull out of my pockets! The clerk at the convenience store gave me those coins and I'm sure she didn't even know what it was! And I just overlooked it!
