We Purchase an annual park pass for admission and parking not only at Blue Lake Park but Oxbow, Chinook Landing and the James Gleason Boat Ramp these passes are $40 per year, but there good from Jan 1st to Dec 31st,, there is a place for you to park for free to access this cache so don’t let the parking fees discourage you from searching..

Blue Lake park is a 64-acre natural lake fed by underground springs, Blue Lake is stocked annually with trout and provides opportunities for, fishing, boating and swimming, and lots of family picnics, there are community events and special programs throughout the year, and covered shelters and reserveable picnic areas. Park visitors also enjoy basketball, archery, volleyball, softball, horseshoes, playgrounds, walking and biking, Paddle boats, row boats and canoes are available to rent at Blue Lake between May 1 and Sept. 30., The Lake House at Blue Lake provides weddings, receptions, recitals, memorial services, corporate functions and meetings so a lot goes on in this park and can be filled with muggles especially in the summer time.

A natural discovery garden invites visitors to experience the wonders of nature while learning to garden naturally, and the wetland area at the west end of the park offers a wildlife viewing platform and perimeter trail.

You can enter the park at the west end but the access gate is closed at dusk and there is absolutely no parking around this gate or on either side of the road, but if you follow the fence line to the end there is an opening where the locals from the near by neighborhood also accesses the park, this is also the place where the no parking signs end so you can park there, this is located off Interlatchen Ln..

Follow the small foot path, it’s a bit steep at first and may be slick when it rains, you will go over, under and a round until you reach the cache location.

Further along the trail there is a group of sculptures which includes two symbolic guides that welcome you to the west end of the lake, these sculptures work together as a reminder of the Chinook village life that once occupied the shores of the Columbia River.

The Nichaqwli monument creates a great spot to pause, reflect and honor the past while enjoying the natural beauty of this quiet corner of the park, enjoy the view.
