Geocache Description:

The listed co-ordinates take you to a park used for many sports activities with playgrounds for geo-kids, plenty of space for exercising geo-hounds and fitness freaks. Solve the puzzle to find the exact location in the park for this cache which is dedicated to all the unsung heroes of the great NZ sporting tradition – parents, supporters, coaches, refs, all participants and players who have terrific days but don’t make the star player awards.

Our featured player is ragde nairda ecurb. In a game at the MCG on 1 February 1981 between New Zealand & opponent team he was not out on the final play of the day. In this match,

The number of runs scored by this player, A =

The number of catches this player made, E =

The total runs scored by the NZ team, B =

The total runs scored by the opposition team, C =

The highest number of runs scored by a player of the opposition team, D =

You can now calculate the 3 digit number required for each of the decimal places for the minutes of your co-ordinates.

Calculate (B+C) – (A+D)
South 43 30.__ __ __

Calculate E x (A + B + D) - 44
East 172 33. __ __ __

Our first FTF from Grandalf's Huntsbury Height cache came with a FTF Bragging coin and the responsibility to set our first cache. FTF Player of the Day also gets bragging rights to set another new cache!

Please replace the cache very carefully and ensure that it is securely attached .

Check your solution and for more directions to find the cache.

UPDATE 12 February 2010: A change of innings and a new ball in play! With the high muggle activity - more by nosey moggies I would imagine, the cache has been replaced with a downsized model and also relocated to a different hide that is hopefully more stable. The geo-check solution and hints have been revised for this new location. BRING OWN PEN

UPDATE 26 October 2014: Final GZ has had to shift with the variable cordoned area over the years so have replaced as and when required. All instructions for offsets are in Geochecker notes, please check you have latest details.
