Spike Leon Russell Traditional Cache
Nirvanadiver: I moved away 4 years ago and thanks to some nice geocachers I have been able to keep this cache going but alas it’s time to let it go and Archive it. This cache was my favorite as it was right behind my house that SPIKE and I loved…we spent many days together walking in this beautiful area. So sorry that Spikes cache will no longer bring people here to see the beautiful area of the park most people never see.

This cache is in the Northeast end of First Landing State Park. You can start out from the South (64th St.), East (78th St.) or West (Main entrance/Visitor Center).
There are many paths to this cache, too many for me to decide which one you should take, some are easy and some are paths less traveled and the most fun. Wild life is abundant, heard a Fox howl while looking for the hiding spot.
I am hoping to have lots of Travel Bugs pass this way and I would like to keep this mostly a Travel bug hotel. So please don’t take a bug unless you plan on moving it along and have a bug to leave behind.
I have also left cool swag for those without a bug to trade.
This is a regular size cache with a smaller Lock box inside to insure that the log stays dry. Please make sure you lock lids tight on both containers.
Please log in your visit in the book with "Chicks Rule" Pen and make sure you leave the pen behind for the next person to use and see that CHICKS RULE!
Please make sure to return this cache to original state of being before you leave.
