Seekers Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Seek2FindMe: Over 25% of my caches have gone missing recently. There seems to be a negative trend here, somewhat suspicious. I've tried to give cachers a choice of large enough caches to hold swag and trackables. The ones missing have mostly been placed out of the way of casual muggle presence. I've decided to free up the areas where the caches were located and let someone else have them. Maybe "sign-on byop" caches is what needs to be placed. Sorry....on many levels. Thanks for your interest and positive support. ~Cache Owner

Geocache Description:

drive-to neighborhood park; mostly paved, very nearly wheelchair accessible (if you can walk a little bit you are okay); strollers, etc.; camo'd snap'n'lock large enough for trinkets, swag, travelbugs as long as they are not too large

The birth of this cache is also election night of major historical significance in our country. It is somewhat the birth of a whole new era in US government and politics. Time will tell if our new president was born to greatness, or merely ambitious when he decided to seek the office.

Do you ever wonder what drives men (& women) to be the leaders, explorers, and great thinkers? What is it they are seeking? Originally this cache was going to be much smaller and placed at the newest monument to the DeAnza Trail party. We changed our minds, placing the cache about 110 feet away from the monument (check it out).

There is another, older monument a very short distance down the street. I wonder why there is a 2nd monument within such a short distance from the 1st one. Guess there was money in the DeAnza Monument budget.

In case you're wondering, yes, there was a cache at the first monument. Seems that one went away. That's a very busy intersection, with a couple of businesses right there. Muggle factor was very intense. This location should be much less conspicuos. The neighbors might question why the increase in traffic in their quiet neighborhood.

Anyway, Juan Bautista de Anza Bezerra Nieto and his party of seekers went thru this particular area in 1776, which is when the American Revolution was happening 3000 miles away on the Atlantic coast. Tom-foolery or bravery...men seeking a better world? Who knows?

The street name here is DaVinci. Who cannot be in awe of his ability to multi-task and seek greater knowledge?

So your assignment is to Seek. Let those other seekers have their day jobs. If DaVinci had invented a GPS device would DeAnza have felt the need to party from one end of California to the other? Is their exploration just geocaching by another name? Who played the role of muggles?

I can see it now…. thousands of little ammo can and Tupperware monuments in tribute to Signal the Frog and his geocache party, never ending and forever memorialized! Seek and ye shall find??????
