A container in the woods - bushwhacking required.
AKA - Doug & Jack
Not a fan of long cache descriptions but this one needed some extra info.
Near one of the higher points in Beverly. A real nice area, one of the favorites we've been too while caching and hiking in Beverly. It is not really on any trail but within about 500 feet of one. This container was actually placed back in March 08. We've been back several times, sometimes on skis or snowshoes, since originally placing it. Sort of our own personal cache, but not really. Two non-cachers, Doug and Jack and dogs, have been here far more often then we have. Doug and Jack pass by often have sort have had an ongoing dialogue in the logbook for the last two years so the first person there will not find a clean logbook(but of course will still be the first to find). Doug and Jack have taken good care of it over the years so please leave a nice note for them as well as read their ongoing logs.
Doug, in one of his initial posts, noted that this spot was home to a windmill pumphouse a long long time ago, perhaps the 1800's.
Been here around sunset a couple times. Real nice but don't get locked in or ticketed. Fall is great but we really love it in the winter although in deep snow we'd had a hard time finding it at times.
If your out with your dog, or even small kids, lookout for the coyotes. We've seen them here often and Doug mentioned a coyote sort of tailing him and Bear on one particular visit.
