Geocache Description:

One of the Earthcaches along the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge.

The Refuge lies within the Driftless Area, a non-glaciated area of central North America.

This landscape features a combination of steep, exposed bluffs and eroded ravines called Karst.

1 What is causing the shallow sloughs until boats reach the main channel. What geological process causes this?
