Este cache fue puesto para darle continuidad a su precursor que
fue destruído por un fuego en el área y luego fue archivado (Las
Cucharas GC19BMP de Enfhilion) y por supuesto con el propósito de
que muchos geocachers disfruten de la magnífica vista desde este
lugar y además para que esté disponible para el WWFM 4.
Están buscando un envase blanco de Avena, con premio para el
FTF, libro de visitas, lápiz, bolígrafo y varias sorpresas más.
Tengan mucha precaución al subir y sobre todo al bajar pues el
terreno es pedregoso y se pueden resbalar. El cache está lejos del
borde, eviten el peligro de una caída, en ocasiones el viento sopla
muy fuerte y les puede hacer perder el equilibrio. Desde el lugar
del cache tendrán una vista excelente del mar Caribe, de la Isla
Ratones y de las instalaciones de la cárcel las cucharas. En el
lugar del escondite encontrarán lo que quedó del cache
original.
Como llegar: Desde Mayaguez: pasa el 1er semáforo
(donde están los restaurantes) y toma la salida hacia el Holiday
Inn del Tuque, pasa debajo del Puente de la autopista y dirigite de
nuevo hacia el oeste. Hay espacio para estacionar los vehículos.
Desde Ponce: Cuando veas la laguna Salinas a tu izquierda y
las chorreras del Parque Acuático del Tuque, estarás cerca.

This cache was placed to continue the tradition of its precursor
that was destroyed by a fire on the area and latter was disabled
(Las Cucharas GC19BMP by Enfhilion) and of course to invite all the
geocachers to visit and enjoy the magnificent view from this place
and also to enable it for the WWFM4.
You are looking for an Oats white container with FTF prize,
logbook, pen, pencil and some goodies. Be very careful during the
uphill walk but more specially during the descent, there are lots
of rubble and you can fall. The cache is far for the cliff in a
safe area, sometimes the wind blows so hard that can make you lose
the balance. From the cache area you will have a great view of the
Caribbean Sea, Ratones Island, and Las Cucharas jail facilities. On
the hidden place you will see the remains of the original
cache.
How to get there: From Mayaguez: pass the 1st
traffic light (where the restaurants are) and take the next exit
towards the Holiday Inn. Turn to the left, pass beneath the highway
bridge and go again to the west. There is enough space to park your
vehicle. From Ponce: When you can see the lagoon and the
slides of the Aquatic Park you will be close.
