This is one of several new caches we placed after discovering the abandoned Goose Flat Trail. The trail has not been funded since at least 2002, but remains in good condition in the Rattlesnake Bar area.
This vantage point above the abandoned Biggers Point Environmental Camp is one of the higher spots in the Peninsula Campground area, with nice views in every direction. You'll have to circle the summit to take them all in, unless you climb the rocks above the cache. I avoided placing the cache there because of thick poison oak, loose rocks, and potential for snake encounters in the summer.
Do keep an eye out for the usual wildlife critters near the cache, however, as you retrieve the cache.
The cache is a cammoed waterproof match container.
