The Forgotten Trail Traditional Cache

This is one of several new caches we placed after discovering the
abandoned Goose Flat Trail. The trail has not been funded since at
least 2002, but remains in good condition in the Rattlesnake Bar
area.
As you enter the campground, look on the right hand side of the road, just past the metal gate, for an old trail marker. This led from the road to a trail intersection. Going left would take you to Biggers Point Environmental Camp; going right would take you to Goose Flat.
From the trail marker, follow the well defined deer trail in a generally NNE direction until you come to a rock "gate." From there you will follow a man-made trail directly to the cache, which marks the end of our exploration...for now.
The cache is a cammoed tupperware container.
