Geocache Description:

This is one of several new caches we placed after discovering the abandoned Goose Flat Trail. The trail has not been funded since at least 2002, but remains in good condition in the Rattlesnake Bar area.

As you walk along this part of the trail, your gaze would probably be over Folsom Lake. If you look to your right, you would see several tall pine trees, standing and fallen, that make up an area I termed "The Land of the Giants."

The cache offers you an opportunity to see well past the lake, to downtown Sacramento, and on very clear days, across the Sacramento Valley to the coastal foothills. Much closer, you can also see some "giant" homes across the lake.

The cache is a cammoed tupperware container.
