This cache has been archived.

-allenite-: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email) within the next 30 days, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church began as a mission in 1843, making it the oldest catholic congregation in Livingston County. Like many of the near-by congregations, St. Johns was made up primarily of Irish immigrant families, with many of them still having roots in the church.

The posted coordinates will take you to the final resting place Charles and Bridget Whitmore. They were an unlikely couple for the time - an English man married to an Irish woman.
To find the final, which is a camo'd lock n lock, take the number of letters in the town where Charles was born and add to N42 37.(769). Now do the same with Bridget's hometown and add to W083 47.(972).
The "SQ" in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project by the Northwest Ohio Geocachers to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. This cache is part of that series created by NWOGEO members to highlight cemeteries or memorial gardens in the area. Please be respectful of the area, and observe their rules and posted hours which are typically sunrise to sunset.
