Camo'd nut jar near a grain(?) barn
My children and I set out this afternoon to hide a few caches. This was the first of the bunch, near what appears to be a forgotten grain barn.
There is a railroad track that runs nearby, and I would be willing to bet that at one time this was a destination of interest. It seems to be forgotten now, and there is evidence that this is now just another place where a train blares through without even slowing down. There is a building nearby that resembles an antique store but there was no obvious entrance.
A short distance from the rail crossing there are a number of collapsed buildings and a switch that has obviously fallen into disrepair. There is also rusty equipment in a field close to the crossing. I can imagine that this was a significant place, once upon a time, but now it is forgotten history.
