I am archiving this cache as it appears to have been abandoned and in need of maintenance. If the owner wishes to resurrect it they may do so with a new listing.

This cache is located at the old Dummer Townsite in Saskatchewan. The cache itself contains the usual items plus some photos of the town and the Tulloch family that grew up there. Be sure to check out the nearby boulder that contains a bronze plaque with a short history of the now deserted town.
This is the town my family grew up in. My grandfather and grandmother, Douglas and June Tulloch, were the last residents of the town. There are a number of deserted houses and buildings still standing including a two storey white and green house. This house was inhabited by my family for 40+ years before leaving the town. The rest of the town history can be found on the nearby boulder on a plaque.
Other buildings include an abandoned community centre, post office, house and curling rink. Take care when exploring these buildings as they have been abandoned for many years.
Use your GPS to navigate the country roads. There may or may not be signs on the highways to mark the turnoffs for Dummer. Roads are generally good except for the actual townsite which have not been maintained over the years.
At the time of placement, the cache contained photos, notebook w/ pencils and other small items.
CONGRATS TO OLEMAZ FOR BEING THE FTF!
Good luck and enjoy exploring the old town. A short history book was written by the former residents of the town. If you are interested in reading it, please contact me at c_boris@yahoo.com
