For the November GIG, we have decided to do something a bit different; because Thanksgiving is a time to pause and appreciate what we have, Bracelet lady and I thought it might be appropriate for us to bring things for others. In the midst of arranging this, a plea went out from our mayor and others to help replenish the food pantries in our city. So, if you are able, please bring some canned/nonperishable food items, and we will see that they are donated ASAP.
When asking people for suggestions of places to eat on the eastside, Jockamo pizza is one name that was mentioned more than once. The owners are former Bazbeaux employees who wanted a place of their own. Located in Irvington next to DuFours, you will be able to enjoy a nice, historic neighborhood. We have made arrangements to have use of their separate room, and will plan for 6 pm. Hopefully, you won't be too involved in Thanksgiving details-- or maybe you will be ready for a break! Hope you can join us!
