Walk the Cloud Forest track from the Pigeon Flat road entrance near the Leith Saddle, or the Telecom track from either Pigeon Flat or Cowan Road.
A long bush tramp follows the Cloud Forest route from Sullivans Dam on the Leith Valley road.
Each of the above options will require you to do a rock scramble up the outcrop to the cache location.
If you enjoy a bush bash adventure, there is always the Escarpment track from the Mt Cargill carpark which will take you some time to find the entrance of, and then follow with difficulty.
The pine forest walk has been replaced with the following description.
Walk across the road from the car parking area on Mt Cargill, and walk through the gateway of the new fence erected by the DCC to keep 4WD vehicles out of the verge area.
Now walk downhill on the vehicle trail for a short distance to the fence. The new trail entry point is further down the fence where the double yellow markers are.
Follow the marked trail along the bulldozer tracks on to the open scrubland.
At the lookout on Pigeon Hill, you walk downhill for some 180m to the cache. The track from this point is steep in places, greasy and slippery after rain with an unstable surface. Care should be taken.
The cache is a 1.2 l clear sistema snap lock container with logbook, pencils and sharpener and a few small swaps.
It is hidden from view right on the track please replace behind the keeper.
