Located in Pleasant Creek WMA, Henderson Rocks can be accessed using the main road and you'll want to launch instead of camp.
Said to have gotten its name based the pleasant time John Simpson and his Indian guide experienced while camping in the area after separating from the Pringle Brothers, Pleasant Creek has something to offer to everyone who enjoys the outdoors. Pleasant Creek WMA is well known for its camping, riffle range, fishing, and especially swimming. Situated just off of Doe Run Impoundment, Henderson Rocks is one of my favorite places to spend a sunny summer day when I’m not already out on the lake boarding or taking a boat ride. Even if its not summer, the Rocks are a perfect place to get some great fall photos and explore the remnants of the caves from when before the dam was constructed if the water level is low enough. If you have the time to spare between caches, be sure to take your bathing suit or fishing pole. Tread lightly on your adventure though since local legend has it that this area was once an Indian burial ground…
