As the title suggests, you have to walk to this cache. Please don't try and park on the roads either side of the cache, there are no parking places and they are busy roads!
I wanted to put out a couple of caches which form a nice wander on the outskirts of Kendal. The caches can be done separately as two short walks or linked together (and possibly with some other caches!) to form a longer walk.
The route spends most of its time travelling across fields which can get wet and muddy so wear suitable footwear!
From 'A walk and a cache' continue through the woods. When you come to the wall you need to look for the subtle stone stile which crosses it. Then turn left and head to the stile over the boundary of the field. YOU ARE NOW ON A BUSY ROAD, TAKE CARE! Turn left and follow the road to the junction with a smaller road on the right. Take this road until you see a stile on your left. Go over this and head to the river. Follow to the cache! once you have found the cache you can follow the river to the road and fom here it easy to get back to your car!
The cache is set on the banks of the River Mint. This is a great little river which joins the Kent a short way from the cache. It also means that it is possible to canoe/kayak to this cache!
