Geocache Description:

Located in a park in the center of Patten. The park is dedicated to the memory of Patten Academy which stood on these grounds from the late 1800's till 1967 when it was destroyed by fire after the local high schools merged under the Maine SAD act.

The cache is a 35mm canister with a magnet taped to the top. Keep that in mind when looking for the cache. Stop and take a look around the park. The bell is all that is left of Patten Academy.
