Geocache Description:

Queens Gardens

You will need to supply your own pen, as this cache contains only a logbook.
This is another area of interest in Bunbury if you are keen to look into it a bit deeper. The lake by the skate park was crated in recent years, and is used to capture stormwate runoff. when it was excavated a lot of galss and stoneware were located. thesse items can now be seen in the King Cottage Museum.
"Queens gardens were founded at the end of the 19th century, and established on a sandspit (point Collinson). this has long since become invisible as the lagoon south and east of the spit was reclaimed by rubbish fill to create Queens Gardens." Exerpt from the "Bunbury heritage trail"

The Heritage trail can be downloaded as a .PDF file from (visit link)
