The Secret Show Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team GeoGriffin: "The Secret Show" has been off the air for a while now and is just a fond memory for my kids. Also, the really interesting parts of this multi are now posted "NO TRESSPASSING", so I think it is time for this cache to go away as well.

On the way out of the area, I saw some Fluffy Fluffy Bunnies bouncing in the woods. Maybe now that The Secret Show is no longer stealing their time slot, Sweet Little Granny can get "The Fluffy Bunny Show" back on the air.

Geocache Description:

The theme for this cache was the idea of daughter LuLu and this cache was completed as a 5th birthday present for her. While the theme is kid-inspired, the cache may not be considered kid-friendly. This is a 6-part multi that covers a little less than 2 miles roundtrip and includes some steep terrain. Parking and the initial walk is very close to residential areas, so please no night caching (plus you wouldn't be able to enjoy the views).

Some notes about the cache before we begin:
  • The theme is kid inspired, but the difficulty and terrain may not be suitable for young children.
  • The D/T rating reflects the 2 mile walk, steep terrain, and prickers. There are no trees to climb.
  • Wear sturdy boots. Wear long pants. Bring a sturdy walking stick.
  • The terrain is steep and follows established trails and roads for some of it, but overgrown animal trails for the rest. Wear sturdy boots.
  • There are prickers and heavy overgrowth on the trail between waypoints 2 and 3. Wear long pants.
  • Your options from waypoint 3 to waypoint 4 are bushwack or backtrack. Bring a sturdy walking stick.
  • The cache roughly follows the story below, print it out and bring it with you for any "hints".
  • The waypoints head west and then south. If you find yourself backtracking, check the coords again.
  • Look for the "fluffy bunnies" to help you find the waypoints.

U.Z.Z. The Secret Show T.H.E.M.

The Secret Show is a cartoon that runs on Nicktoons (Channel 517 @ 2am and 5am. Set your DVR). The show follows the adventures of the secret agents of U.Z.Z. as they battle to save the world from The Horrible Evil Menace (T.H.E.M.). LuLu and her sisters have watched this show for the last year and this cache follows a story line similar to one of the Secret Show episodes. The U.Z.Z. agents try to keep the Secret Thing, a bright orange tube with a cap on both ends, from falling into the wrong hands. Each waypoint is a copy of the Secret Thing with coordinates written on it. They are hidden between 6 inches and 3 feet off the ground and hidden from casual viewing, but can be seen from the right angle. Please be sure they are replaced so they are not out in the open. There are 1 inch 'fluffy bunny' markers within sight (and less than 10 feet) of each of the waypoints.

Sorry Sweet Little Granny. This time slot is needed urgently... Run... The Secret Show!
Anita and Victor
We start the story, and this cache, with secret agents Victor Volt and Anita Knight on their sky bikes in pursuit of the evil Doctor Doctor. Doctor Doctor uses her new Tree Gun to try and stop them, but she misses. You will find waypoint one near where her wild shot landed.
Floaty Head
Doctor Doctor then tries to use the large satellite dish at her base to summon The Floaty Heads from the planet Zabulon III to help her take over the world. Some well placed blaster shots by our heroes keep the transmission from going through. Please don't go near the T.H.E.M. base or the dish, but you will find waypoint two near where some of the blaster shots hit. Look for the scorch marks.
Changed Daily
The trio race down the hill towards the U.Z.Z. base and the leader of U.Z.Z., who, for reasons of security has his name changed daily. Today you can call him Nancy Cache-a-lot. You will see his mantle piece as you near the third waypoint, but please pay attention to the "No Tresspassing" signs and do not go any closer the U.Z.Z. base.
Doctor Doctor
Doctor Doctor being caught between the U.Z.Z. base and Victor and Anita in hot pursuit decides that retreat is the best option and heads back up the hill. Anita takes the hard way and stays hot on Doctor Doctor's heels while Victor takes the easy way and retraces their steps hoping to surround her. You will find the fourth waypoint towards the top of the hill (along with a great view of the top of the bay and the lake).
Impostors
The chase heads south along the ridge and surprises a small group of Impostors that were plotting an attack on the U.Z.Z. base. Perfect timing. Two birds with one stone. Another crisis averted, another great view to enjoy, and the last waypoint before the final.
Professor Professor
Finally, to put a stop to this chase, and this cache, The U.Z.Z. super scientist, Professor Professor, gives a "totally untested und highly dangerous" experiment to Secret Agent LuLu. LuLu picks the best spot to deploy this secret weapon and Doctor Doctor is captured by a transdimensional switcheroo and is replaced by and a .30 cal ammo can full of wonderful things. There is a lammie for FTF and a ton of spy gear (including a utility belt, spy pen, motion detector, light, listening device, walkie talkies, spy sports cars, and a game of I-Spy) plus a few other things. A very bizarre ending to a very bizarre day. Enjoy!
