Watermelon Hotel Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

RKOwen: I don't think I'll ever get around to creating a good water resistant cache container, given that neap tides and storms lap the cache location and have taken out a couple of the caches already. Any replacement would be more of a micro than a regular size container and not what I desired for a TB hotel. Good luck and thanks to all that have enjoyed this cache.

Geocache Description:

It should be fairly obvious where to look. It's a camo covered plastic jar large enough for most travel bugs. Be sure to cover it up well so it doesn't get discovered by fishing muggles.

I was driving along an alternate route to work when I noticed this bit of urban art along county road 61 and not too far from the Martin Luther King, Jr. regional park. There's a pull-out about 100 ft before or you can park along side the road, but be careful since it's a busy road. Be surreptious because it looks like it might be a good spot to fish. Just saying.

Moved the cache about 6 ft from its original spot to higher ground, but within the location uncertainty. But be sure to securely seal the top to keep it watertight.

12/19/2008 - changed the cache container to a .30 cal ammo can ... should be more watertight.
