Park at N 41° 43.822, W 072° 30.230. This cache is part of the
Buckingham Reservoir series of 13 caches. Most of the cache
locations are on or near well-worn trails, however, some of them
may be extra challenging during certain seasons of the year.
There is an abundance of wildlife in the area. It’s quite
possible to encounter beaver, bobcats, coyotes, deer, fishers, red,
grey and yellow foxes, four varieties of owls, snapping turtles,
timber rattlesnakes, various water snakes, weasels and the very
rare occasional wandering bear. Exercise caution and remember that
this is their home.
Difficult as it may be, please return this cache to the exact
place that you found it.
Caution: This area and this cache in particular is in an active
hunting area. The legal deer-hunting season is from Sep 15 to Dec
31, 1/2 hour before sunrise until sunset. However, unethical
hunting does also occur here during all times of the year and after
dark. Speaking to a veteran sportsman walking through the area, he
advises to be particularly careful on Saturdays, wear orange or
other bright colors and DO NOT wear white as it looks like the
white-tail deer running away.
