Geocache Description:

Part of the "Middle of Nowhere" series and the Historic Shenandoah Valley" (HSV) series, this one is a two-stage multi-cache that requires you to gather information at stage one that will allow you to break the code for the hint and coordinates that will lead you to where the actual cache has been hidden.

This one also honors a friend of mine (who got me hooked on Geocaching) that lives in Germany.

I have always loved traveling along old country roads and lanes that seem like they are in the middle of nowhere yet offer views quite scenic or rustic.

When you find the actual cache hiding place, you will find a small lock-and-lock container with enough room for a few trading and/or traveling items.

Begin your journey by visiting the the coordinates listed above. He you will find two historic markers.

Then fill in the blanks below by answering the questions.

Use the information to break the code and find the final cache.
