The cache is not at the posted coordinates but is close
enough to be within the guidelines and it will be found within the
boundaries of a certain Town of Aurora Park.
When the land was divided up during
the development of this neighbourhood the planners put a fair sized
chunk of green space aside to turn into community parks. You will
find lots of sporting opportunities near the actual cache location
- soccer, baseball, tennis and basketball are all accomodated.
There is even a great playground for kids, young and old. Plenty of
room for frisbee, flag football or just running around burning off
energy in the suburban outdoors. I have it on good authority that
dogs love to play here, too.
When this particular park was built,
I'm sure the planners thought they had all the bases covered. They
didn't. From our perspective, this park was sadly lacking a
geocache! But, not to worry, we have taken it upon ourselves to
rectify the situation.
Before you head out to exercise your
body by adding geocaching to the list of sports playable in the
park, you will need to exercise your grey matter. When you do head
out... why not take some sporting equipment with you and have some
fun?
The cache is a micro and has only a
waterproof logbook inside. You will need to bring a pencil or
permanent marker to write in it (don't bother trying to sign with
ballpoint pen as it will wash right off the polyester
sheets).
Although it pains me greatly to say
this, as I prefer to use Firefox on Linux myself, this page will be
best viewed on IE. (Ouch!) Please accept my profound
appologies.
