Geocache Description:

Now changed to a micro, sorry no swaps.

The cache site is in the now disused Lochloy Quarry, this quarry once provided the stone for the Nairn viaduct. The viaduct was built in 1857 following the opening of the Nairn railway station in 1855. Following the completion of the viaduct the Inverness to Aberdeen line was opened in 1861.

Today the quarry is being developed into a country park following the construction of houses in the locality.
