Welcome to the 1st GeoFestivus event! The event will be held at the Pizza Hut in St.Clairsville, Ohio on December 7th from 5pm until ? (everyone leaves).

Festivus - according to Wikipedia is:

Festivus is an annual holiday invented by writer Dan O'Keefe and introduced into popular culture by his son Daniel, a scriptwriter for the TV show Seinfeld. Although the original Festivus took place in February 1966 as a celebration of O'Keefe's first date with his wife, Deborah,[2] most people now celebrate the holiday on December 23, as depicted on the December 18, 1997 Seinfeld episode "The Strike." According to O'Keefe, the name Festivus "just popped into his head." The holiday includes novel practices such as the "Airing of Grievances", in which each person tells everyone else all the ways they have disappointed him or her over the past year. Also, after the Festivus meal, the "Feats of Strength" are performed, involving wrestling the head of the household to the floor, the holiday only ending if the head of the household is actually pinned. These conventions originated with the TV episode. The original holiday featured far more peculiar practices, as detailed in the younger Daniel O'Keefe's book The Real Festivus, which provides a first-person account of an early version of the Festivus holiday as celebrated by the O'Keefe family, and how O'Keefe amended or replaced details of his father's invention to create the Seinfeld episode.[4] Some people, influenced or inspired by Seinfeld,[2] now celebrate the holiday in varying degrees of seriousness; some carefully follow rules from the TV show or books, while others humorously invent their own versions.

Ours will be a little different. We will be decorating something, an ammobox! Bring a sticker, or magnet or something to decorate the box and an item to put in the box! (This is optional and not required to attend the event!) This box will be a doorprize at the end of the evening!
We will all still sit around and air our problems about everyone elses caches! Like how hard they are to find and how EVIL they are.

Basically this will be a meet and greet and eat! Come one, Come all and help us celebrate GeoFestivus!!

We will be having a White Elephant gift exchange (This is optional as well). Bring a wrapped gift that is around $5.00. We will do something neat!

We will also be doing something for the community.Click Here if you are interested.

Here is the link for a GPX file of all the temp caches and a bonus cache as well. You may find them when you like. The Bonus cache must be signed to claim it, the others have no log in them but have an item in each container. Telling me what is in each cache will get you in the drawing for the decorated and stocked ammo can.
