This cache has been placed near a small loch or to be more accurate a drainage pond. The access road and this pond are all that remain of the once extensive Keirsbeath Open Cast Coal Site. This pond has become another small haven for wildlife in Fife. You can regularly see roe deer, buzzards and other birds of prey. The ducks have made their homes in the reeds. This is a great spot for a bit of dog walking and now a bit of caching. Please be careful to replace the cache as found.
