Geocache Description:


Omphalos (griech.: „Nabel“) war ein Stein im Apollo-Tempel in Delphi. Er markierte den „Nabel der Welt“. Mit "Omphalos" wurde später auch ein auf dem Forum Romanum aufgestellter Stein bezeichnet, der für die Römer den Mittelpunkt des römischen Reiches darstellte.
Eine ebensolche Skulptur befindet sich bei diesen Koordinaten. Sie markiert das Zentrum von Bülach - zumindest in geografischer Weise.

Vom "Omphalos" aus geht man 82 m in Richtung 221° und findet den Cache.

The omphalos (greek for "navel") was religious stone placed in the Temple of Apollo in Delphi. "Omphalos" was also called a stone on the Forum Romanum which designated the center of the Roman Empire.
You will find a similar sculpture at these coordinates. It marks the center of Bülach - at least in a geographical way.

From the Omphalos it goes 82 m toward 221° where you will find the Cache.
