Geocache Description:

A small cache hidden in the DeSoto Wilderness Park on the banks of Captain Creek.

Yes this is the great bridge over Captain Creek.

You can log this cache twice if you sign your geoname to the pole on the east side of the creek. Logs must be visible from the west side with the use of binoculars. No cheaters. The first cacher to do this will earn a special TOUGH CACHE geocoin, see photo posted. This is an exotic geocoin and only one will be given out after the signature is verified. Be sure you read the fine print on gc.com about responsibility for injury and do NOT attempt this if you are afraid of heights, have soft feet, don't have a friend standing by with a cell phone, or cannot swim.

Congratulations to Campcreekers for being the first to cross the Bridge to Nowhere. He wins the Tough Cache coin as soon as I go look at his signature on the post on the far side. I guess it is easier than riding a bull, huh? But did you have to do it at night? That is going to be one hard act to follow.

Just to keep it fun I will give another geocoin to the next person to cross the bridge and sign the post so it can be seen with my binoculars. This time it will be a green caribiner coin. "The Law of Gravity is Strictly Enforced."

Well, Hockabee, you did not disappoint me. I told Judy when we set this one up that you would be across that bridge for that bonus log in a jiffy. I was right. I just wish we could have gotten it on tape. The green caribiner geocoin is yours. I will mail it and Campcreekers out tomorrow, assuming I can find his address.

I think now just the pride of seeing your name on the second log is enough of a boost for the next person to cross Captain's Creek. You know you want to be famous. Now's your chance.
