Another Secaucus Panorama
I
named this cache after the other Secaucus Panorama in this park but
with a different perspective. When I grew up in Queens, NY I
would often go on road trips with the family down to Virginia or to
Six Flags Great Adventure. All I could remember thinking
while sitting in the rear of my parents station wagon with the
''Woody'' side panels was what a toxic waste dump NJ was. (See
above picture which is what my memories as a kid are). I
remember the stench of low tide at the meadowlands and what smelled
like a land fill as we drove down the turnpike. I have now
lived in NJ for about 7 years (forced to move since my wife's job
moved from NYC to Jersey City. Shout-out to my boys in
Queens!
) and I have to admit that I no
longer think this way and I now consider NJ a nice place to
live (although I will never consider myself a
Newjersian).
Park at the last parking lot by the sports fields and make your way
around the south side of the mountain and over to the east side to
gain access to a trail which will lead you up to this cache. At one
point you will be directly below the NJ Turnpike.
