Geocache Description:

Dear Bob & Susan,
Hope everything is going well for you and your kids in your new home. It’s hard to believe that this is your third move since leaving Escondido. We really miss you around the neighborhood.
Lots of things are changing around here. Frank and Maria’s daughter had twins. Can you imagine two boys to go along with the three girls they already have! Remember Ruth and Bill Brown? He was the retired Merchant Marine who spent over thirty years at sea and she was a nurse who retired after working over twenty years. They lived in the big house on the corner. Well any way they sold and moved to the Ozarks.
They had one cat and one parrot and 7 guppies that they couldn’t take with them. They went around the neighborhood trying to find homes for their pets. Rick and Cathy took the cat and Andy’s son Stevie really wanted the guppies but no one wanted the parrot. The Browns seemed to be terribly upset by this, so in a moment of weakness we said that we would take him.
His name is Elliot and he thinks that he is a pirate. He talks a lot “Ahoy” this and “Shiver me timbers” that is kind of cute but the rest of his vocabulary is very salty.
Just the other day we heard our grandson Kyle, he’s four now, say “#@#$)%”. We talked to him about appropriate language and he said that he wouldn’t say those words any more.
A short time later we heard our granddaughter Katie, she just turned 7, say,”*#&!#&%!!%!”. We were starting to get concerned because we couldn’t imagine where they were hearing that kind of language.
We were having a serious discussion about using bad words when Elliot squawked “@&!)$%@)#)!&“ and both kids started laughing.
It’s pretty obvious that two young kids and one foul-mouthed parrot don’t make a good mix , so the bird has got to go. Wonder if you can Fed Ex a bird?
Are you still going on vacation next month? If so have a wonderful time and E- mail us some pictures.
More later,
Love,
Nick & Sharon
