Geocache Description:

Easy drive-by cache with a built-in history lesson. Changed to a micro on 2 Oct 2009.

As county seat of Rich County, Randolph needed a second cache!! Mrs. lv2wj's father spent his summers from 1941-1945 working at his Uncle Sam's ranch, about 8 miles northeast of here, while his cousins were serving the other Uncle Sam during WWII. Sam Rex was one of the family for whom Rex Peak, directly east of this point, was named. For additonal history about Randolph and its settlers, see the great page for Randolph Utah! (visit link)
