A traditional cache hidden in Hoyden's Hill Open Space.
I found this open space on Fairfield's website while searching for another one. I noticed that there weren't any caches in this park yet so I decided to go and check it out. I found that this space is endangered by possible future development (visit savehoydenshill.com).
Parking is at the golf driving range on Hoyden's Hill Road. While scouting this area I met a group of scouts who were searching for a letterbox. I also noticed all the birds that were there. Though not a bird watcher, I am a bird lover and do look for differents types of birds.
This cache was placed here to draw attention to this space by fellow geocachers and hopefully to keep it from any future development.
The cache is a .30 cal ammo can and is child friendly. FTF is two $5 scratch-offs. Round trip to the cache and back to the parking area is about a mile. The paths are wide and flat. The cache is located a short distance off the trail.
