Some time ago, Peterborough County re-aligned Wallace Point
Road/4th Line where it crossed Provincial Highway 28. This left a
wedge of land, a portion of which is used today for car pool
parking. This newly aligned road had been designated County 28. So
County 28 crossed Provincial 28.
In 2001 when the Province gave up control of many of the
Highways, Provincial 28 became the responsibility of the County.
Because Peterborough County already had a road designated 28, it
was changed to 21 as it is known today. The sometimes confusing
memory of the crossing of 28 and 28 remains with many people
today
The cache is located here, with ample parking in the car pool
area. It is a small camo'ed peanut butter jar with some small
trading items, a log book and only room for small items in
exchange.
